I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
